The innovative Austrian based company ekey biometric systems developed a convenient biometric authentication procedure in cooperation with Microsoft. From now on, login to a Microsoft Windows operation system is possible via biometric authentication. To get access to the system, it is sufficient to drag a finger over a sensor and passwords do not have to be memorized anymore. The highly complex administration of passwords, which frequently results in higher costs and risks, can be reduced substantially.
